Magnetic ferrite rubber

It is called "plasto-ferrite", and is a material obtained by mixing magnetic powders of strontium, rubber and other additives. MyP Magnetica Italiana S.r.l. in several years of experience, has developed its own FLEXO and FLEXO MAG line.

FLEXO MAG is the range of MAGNETIZED plastoferrites obtained by magnetizing the FLEXO range in different ways.

Flexo 75

Isotropic plastoferrite obtained by extrusion is suitable for applications that do not require consistent magnetic forces; it has high mechanical strength and flexibility.

The distinguishing feature of Flexo 75 isotropic plastoferrite is its production process: it is produced by extrusion rather than by calendering. This procedure does not allow the molecular orientation of the single crystals, therefore it is a material with lower magnetic values than anisotropic plastoferrite.

Field of application: : logistics and storage, printing / communication / building packaging, household appliance,

FLEXO 75 is a permanent magnet which is technically and economically ideal especially for the following applications:

  • C-shaped tag holder 1.2 mm thick and internal width from 15 to 70 mm. On request it is also possible to supply cardboard and PVC already cut to size or in strips of 1 mt.
  • shaped profiles that are used, for example, in the doors of the shower box, in the closures of the mosquito nets, in the refrigerator doors.
  • strips (magnetic strips) in thicknesses of 1.2 - 1.5 - 2.0 mm.

FLEXO
120 - 150 – 180

Anisotropic plastoferrite obtained by calendering and lamination, is suitable for applications requiring medium-high magnetic forces; it has great mechanical strength and flexibility.

Plastoferrite is produced in sheets by calendering / lamination. The calendering is able to orient 80% of the ferrite molecules, allowing the material to obtain high magnetic values after the magnetization phase. The easy magnetization axis is perpendicular to the thickness: sense of anisotropy. The sheets can be cut in various shapes thanks to the innovative production system of MyP Magnetica Italiana S.r.l .. Field of Application: : Logistics, Fashion, Automation / Robotics, Printing / Communication / Packaging, Sound, Electric Motors and Plant Engineering, Lighting, Safety, Automotive, Elevators, Construction.

FLEXO 120/150/180 is a permanent magnet which is technically and economically ideal especially for the following applications:

  • elevators
  • magnetic candles
  • signs and plates (advertising)
  • pneumatic cylinders
  • exhibitors (ex: knife holders)
  • games and toys
  • magnetic couplings
  • countless other applications

FLEXO

Robotic automation: cylinders with magnetic piston

The magnetic flux passing the piston jacket (made of non-magnetic material), excites the sensors, positioned outside. The thickness of the magnet must be high enough to excite the sensors, but must not be excessive, otherwise the magnetic flux exceeds the sensors and causes what is commonly called "double effect": opening - closing - opening of the sensor. To obtain an increase in the magnetic force on the external diameter, two iron discs with a thickness of 1.0 / 1.5 mm can be applied to the two surfaces of the magnet.

Elevators

Monostable: The classic axial magnetized magnet (one NORTH side and one SOUTH side), 6.0 or 8.0 mm thick and standard width 15/20 mm. The surface of the NORTH polarity can be marked with a light engraving, a white or colored mark. The dimensions and surface markings are however customizable on request.

Bistable: magnetized magnet with NORTH and SOUTH polarity on the same face. The SOUTH pole is normally marked with a white mark. Standard thicknesses 6.0 or 8.0 mm, width 20 mm and length 60/80. The dimensions and surface markings are however customizable on request.

FLEXO can be customized in various shapes and sizes: strips, rings and rods, profiles and drawings elaborated in 2D-3D. Finally, it can be finished, depending on the customer's needs, in the following ways:

  • painting of one or more surfaces
  • application of single-sided and / or double-sided tape
  • surface stamping or engraving
  • drilling
  • axial magnetization
  • magnetization with two or more polarity along the length and on one or two surfaces

(1) The values in brackets are intended as Maximum temperatures of use for short periods in order to avoid loss of flexibility. Beyond the maximum temperatures declared, the bakelization process begins, ie the hardening of the rubber present within the mixture; however, the loss of flexibility does not compromise the magnetic values.

  • axially
  • 2 polarities
  • at different polar pitches (mm: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7)

The different type of magnetization, as the thickness and type of FLEXO MAG vary, gives different Magnetic Strength (measured in G [min-max] with IO ML14) and Tensile Strength (measured in g / cm2 with IO ML10).
